2016 Deadly Kids Awards

Nareema from 5/6K was one of over 150 students to receive a "Deadly Kids Doing Well" award on Friday.

 

Held at the Great Hall of the University of Technology, these prestigious awards celebrate the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. 

 

Nareema's very proud family were there to see here presented with her award. 

 

And for those of you interested in where Nareema's pretty name comes from - in a recent speech where she shared her story with her class, Nareema explained the origins of her name. "Nareema" is the name of a lake in Wiradjuri country.
